VISUfarma UK begins its social recycling journey with Plastic Bank by stopping 17,215 kilograms of plastic from entering the ocean.
VISUfarma UK is leading by example to create a more sustainable world. Plastic Bank gathers Ocean Stewards together to be part of a social recycling movement that stops plastic from entering the ocean and alleviates poverty by using plastic waste as currency. It identifies vulnerable coastlines across the world that need plastic collection infrastructure and empowers local entrepreneurs to establish collection branches. These branches facilitate collection communities to exchange plastic for life-improving benefits and income that help them find a path out of poverty.
