VISUfarma was formed in 2016 and is the result of the successful combination of the Italian company Visufarma SpA and the commercial activities of the international Nicox SA, headquartered in France. The combination created VISUfarma.

Fabrizio is an accomplished pharma executive, with extensive experience in roles spanning the bio-pharmaceutical industry (General Management, Global Marketing & Sales, Transformational Projects, Multi-country experiences). He has had a long and distinguished international career at Merck Sharp and Dohme (MSD). His various executive positions have demonstrated a proven track record of delivering outstanding results in: turning around business performance, transforming organizations of different sizes navigating in challenging and complex health care environments, successfully launching new products across different therapeutic areas, fostering digital transformation and omnichannel approach to customers and patients, and building engaged, high performing teams while establishing high level relationships with key Customers and Stakeholders.
In MSD Italy, Fabrizio held various leadership roles such as National Sales Director, Executive Business Unit Director Primary Care and Regional Business Director for several major therapeutic areas (Primary Care, Specialty, Hospital). He has also held the role of EMEA Regional Marketing Director, based at Merck’s headquarters in New Jersey, USA. Throughout his career Fabrizio has managed important transformational projects like the MSD & Shering-Plough Integration project, the creation of a New Commercial Model in MSD Italy subsidiary, and the leadership of the Customer & Sales Excellence Team in MSD Italy.
He joined VISUfarma in 2019 from MSD Romania, where he was Managing Director for their $120M business. In his four and a half years in Romania he accomplished a successful turn-around of the business operations and was able to elevate the subsidiary to be among the top growing companies in the CEE market. In Romania he also held the position of VP and board member for the Romanian Association of Innovative Medicines driving several successful projects to improve access to drugs for Romanian patients. Fabrizio originally joined VISUfarma as Vice President Marketing & Sales, where he quickly demonstrated his strategic and innovative mindset, discipline in execution, and outstanding leadership capabilities in managing core European counties like UK, Germany, Spain, and France. He has since stepped into his new role as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing all our European and International Operations (excluding Italy).
Fabrizio, an Italian national, holds a MSc in Biological Sciences, a Post-graduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Catania, Italy, and an MBA from ISDA in Rome, Italy.
Diego is a Supply Chain professional with a wealth of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and food supplement industry. Throughout his career his experience holding positions of increasing complexity and responsibility demonstrate a proven track record of commercial excellence. Diego brings experience from organizations such as Valeant Pharmaceuticals and Bausch + Lomb. His range of Supply Chain roles have honed his expertise in integral areas such as demand and supply planning, customer service, logistics, vendor management, and project and cost management in complex, multinational matrix organizations as well as in smaller organizations.
Diego has a history of success managing several manufacturers and distribution centers in multiple European markets, aligning demand and supply. His approach, developed throughout over 20 years of experience of the ‘end-to-end’ Supply Chain is pivotal to succeed in fast growing organizations like VISUfarma. Each component, from manufacturing to customers as well as distribution and warehousing must ensure high service levels to satisfy market expectations and demand commitments in multiple markets in Europe and abroad. Synergy and teamwork, both internally and externally, are his ‘winners’ in terms of achieving overall goals. The motto ‘ONE TEAM ONE GOAL’ defines his attitude and behavior towards everyone both inside and outside the organization. In his own words “everybody plays a fundamental role, and nobody is more or less but unique”. He is a strong believer that beyond organizational structures there are people and that they are the success factor of any operation in which there is engagement, empowerment, motivation, and excitement about delivering health to the world. His experience, results, and unique approach in this field makes him an indispensable asset to VISUfarma HQ.
Diego joined VISUfarma in 2016 as Supply Chain Manager; he quickly demonstrated his expertise and ability and was brought on to join the Management Team as Supply Chain Director, and after a while has been promoted as part of the Executive Team with the role of VP Supply Chain. Recently Diego has been promoted VP Operations with expanded responsibilities on Quality Assurance and Artwork Management for Europe ex Italy region and International Business.
Diego, an Argentinian national, holds a degree in International Trade and Commerce with special certifications in Production and Inventory Management, Time Management, and Management Essentials. A native Spanish speaker, Diego is fluent in English and conversational in Dutch.
Frank has over 10 years of experience in Finance and Analytics, having held a wide range of finance positions in both large corporate and smaller multinational companies. He started his career in telecommunications at KPN as a Business Analyst and later as a Business Controller and Manager of FP&A. Frank joined VISUfarma in 2018 as the Group Business Controller, where he developed VISUfarma’s reporting, analytics, and control functions. He later became a key Finance Business Partner to the CEO as the Business Analysis & Strategy Director. Since April 2024, Frank has been heading the European Finance Team as Vice President Finance (ex. Italy).
Frank is a native Dutch and German speaker and is fluent in English and Italian. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics & Business from Erasmus University Rotterdam and an Executive Master degree in Finance and Controlling from Vrije University of Amsterdam.
Niek has over 10 years experience in HR, having held various HR functions in organisations ranging from small startups to non-profits and global corporations. He started his career in Finance, working as Credit Controller before changing to the field of HR in 2013. Niek joined VISUfarma in 2022 as HR Manager and has since moved to the position of HR Director (ex. Italy) in which he oversees the full HR function and manages local HR employees in Germany, Spain and the UK and acts as a HR partner to the CEO.
Niek is a native Dutch speaker and fluent in English. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.

Global Healthcare Opportunities (GHO Capital) is a specialist healthcare investment adviser based in London. GHO Capital Fund I LP is the majority investor in VISUfarma.
