VISUfarma TEAM TAKES ON BRIGHTON MARATHON TO SUPPORT GLAUCOMA UK
Leeds, UK—VISUfarma is proud to announce that three of its dedicated team members will be participating in the Brighton Marathon on Sunday, the 6th of April 2025 to raise funds for Glaucoma UK, a leading charity dedicated to supporting people with glaucoma and funding vital research to prevent sight loss.
The VISUfarma team taking on this challenge includes:
- Sarah, Office Manager, based in Leeds
- Harriet, Territory Manager, based in North West
- Olly, Territory Manager, based in South West
Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of preventable blindness, affecting over 700,000 people in the UK (Glaucoma UK, 2024). Early diagnosis and effective treatment can help preserve vision, but awareness and funding are crucial in making this possible. Glaucoma UK provides essential support for those living with the condition, funds research, and works to ensure that no one faces glaucoma alone.
Natallie Hoare, Head of Fundraising of Glaucoma UK, expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the charity for VISUfarma team’s support. “We are incredibly grateful to Sarah, Harriet and Olly for running the Brighton Marathon, all in support of Glaucoma UK and those affected by glaucoma. Their effort not only raises awareness of this condition but will also contribute to ongoing glaucoma research for future generations. We wish them all the best for the marathon.”
The team is currently in training, preparing for the 26.2-mile challenge, and is calling on supporters to help them reach their fundraising goal. Every donation contributes to the fight against glaucoma and supports those at risk of losing their sight.
