How It Works
- All products sold by VISUfarma UK that has any plastic packaging is included in the offsetting project
- The amount of plastic per pack is calculated and multiplied against the number of packs sold
- VISUfarma UK then purchase credits from Plastic Bank equal to the weight of the plastic in our packs sold
- An equal amount of ocean-bound plastic is then collected by Plastic Bank.
Carbon Offsetting
- VISUfarma UK undertake a yearly carbon audit in compliance with carbon standard guidelines.
- It is then calculated how many tonnes of CO₂e emissions are used across the business
- VISUfarma UK work to reduce our carbon footprint where possible, but for any carbon we are unable to reduce, we purchase carbon credits based on the number of tonnes of CO₂ emissions produced. VISUfarma chose to partner with Carbon Neutral Britain, specifically purchasing credits in their Woodland Fund™ as trees are one of the most sustainable ways to capture carbon as forest projects absorb CO₂, refract the earth's heat as well as having a positive impact on wildlife, ecology and biodiversity
